Birmingham is Britain's Second City (thats after London for those of you who don't get out much). Having narrowly been beaten to the title of European City of Culture in 2003 by those lovely lorra lorra Liverpudlians, the Brummies have decided to fight back. The New Bull Ring Shopping centre opened in 2003 to the bane of all married men in Birmingham.
Aston University's fantastic city centre location means you don't have to venture very far past the town centre to get what you want. Unfortunately for the Muslim, you do have to journey into the great unknowns that are the Birmingham suburbs. InshaAllah, this guide will be regularly (*cough*) updated with the latest information to make your arrival in to Birmingham a breeze.
