Jumu’ah will be held in room MB373 for Fridays’ falling on the 26th of June and 3rd of July (yep, that’s this week and next week). This is to cater for the BROTHERS that are either on site or near the vicinity. Further updates will be plugged onto astonisoc.co.uk regarding the rooms for the following Fridays.
Yesterday was the final Jumu’ah* to be held, and marks the end of the ISOC activities for this academic year. Alhamdulillah we thought we end this year on a sweet note, but as you all know, this was just the icing on the cake (forgive the pun) of all the events that took place during this academic year alhamdulillah!
As the dreaded exam season faces its last few days, a year has stealthily crept by. Aston Isoc had the pleasure of organising many activities and events for the sake of Allah, so that both you and ourselves could take benefit. We would like to thank all its members and volunteers for their endless support throughout the year, may Allaah reward you all in abundance. We also extend our hearty thanks to you, yes YOU, for availing yourselves with little student time you had (c’mon, it’s no secret now, students have tonnes of time!) in participating in these activities, you are THE Isoc!
We would like to also introduce our new executive committee for the following academic year 2009-2010:
Head Brother: Hamid Ghazi
Brothers’ Vice: Umar Nazir
Treasurer: Muhammed Shuaib
Head Sister: Shaima Saif
Sisters’ Vice: Anisa Azam
For those of you who will be here next year, you have ample opportunity to participate and help the ISOC excel - with the tawfeeq of Allaah swt. Mark our words when we say it’s a life changing experience - DON’T miss out!
*At the request of brothers who either work at/near the vicinity of Aston University, Jumu’ah will be continuing for BROTHERS ONLY throughout the summer in room MB263 at 1.15pm.
We ask Allah the most High that the platforms that have been provided truly benefited us all, to witness for us all in the aakhirah, to light our path to Jannah, to make our life in this dunya one that is forever pleasing to Him, and to put barakah in our time. We ask Allah to forgive us, for without His mercy, we are nothing. Allahumma aameen.

The Mother of the Believers, foremost of the scholars
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, is one of the Mother of the Believers to whom we are required to extend our reverential respect and love to. This talk will shed light on the already illuminated wife of our Prophet sallalahu alayhi wa sallim, and elucidate her scholarly abilities to which we all look up to. Every Wednesday Talk is not to be missed, and it goes without saying, neither is this one!
